| TSBP pulls rules for
reconsideration |
We're pleased to tell you the Texas
State Board of Pharmacy has pulled their proposed rules
on inventory security for
reconsideration.
One of our American Pharmacies members, John
Carson, is on the TSBP task force that presented the
rules, but he testified in opposition to them. Our
attorney, Amanda Fields, crafted a to-the-point written
response, and
APRx VP for Public Affairs Richard Beck testified at the
public hearing, helping board members see the real-life
results of the rules if they were approved.
Several TSBP members
expressed interest in the inventory security policies
and procedures manual we suggested.
The entire issue has been referred back to the
Pharmacist Task Force to be reworked.
Others who testified and sent written response
included TPA President Ed Horton, TPA Executive Director
Jim Martin and Dean Davis of Davis and Davis law
firm.
Stay tuned for the next steps in this issue. We
will let you know when and to whom to direct
communication when it comes back to the decision
process. | |
