Injunction delays
AMP |
Thanks to a lawsuit
filed by the National Community Pharmacists Association
and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores,
implementation of new Average Manufacturer Price
rates proposed by CMS is on
hold.
The
U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia
issued an injunction Friday to allow time for a full
review of the issues.
While this likely is only a
delay, it at least stops the headlong rush to implement
a new reimbursement formula for generic Medicaid
prescriptions.
CMS will not be posting AMP
(Ain't My Price) data on its Website at this
time.
We proudly point out that
American Pharmacies is a member organization of NCPA and
that our members can join at a
discounted rate.
Stay
tuned! | |
