One Member, One Vote
American Pharmacies is 100 percent owned and operated by independent pharmacy owners and each member stockholder has one vote. As a shareholder, you are encouraged to use your vote to take an active role in determining how American Pharmacies can best serve your needs. Our board of directors and members direct the actions of our staff.

American Pharmacies maintains a strong, aggressive effort to advocate our members’ views on the political, legislative, and regulatory issues
which are important to the viability of independent pharmacies. In fact, in our first year of operation we were successful in passing important pharmacy legislation. We work
diligently at the local, state and national level to fight for legislation and regulation
which benefit you. American Pharmacies accepts nothing short of excellence in advocating for our members.
American Pharmacies has a political action committee registered with the Texas Ethics Commission as American Pharmacies GPAC. American Pharmacies members contribute to the PAC and the funds are contributed to state legislative and statewide office candidates
who share our members’ views, and support issues important to independent community pharmacies and small business. In the last election cycle,
more than 85% of AP-GPAC supported candidates were successfully elected.

Generic Drug Program
Historically, 100 percent of rebate dollars flow back to American Pharmacies’ members who participate in our generic drug program. Quarterly rebates are distributed as patronage rebates, in accordance with your gross purchase of generics under the program.
Vendor Discounts
American Pharmacies has negotiated deep discounts with a variety of vendors on behalf of our members. We continually identify, evaluate, and pursue agreements with suppliers whose products and services can benefit your bottom line.
Value-added Resources
American Pharmacies offers programs and services to keep you informed and help you develop professionally. Our American Pharmacies newsletter helps you stay current on the issues and news that affect your business. Our Web site makes it easy to access up-to-date program information, vendor and products directories, and industry resources.
